Under Construction

As you may know, this is the first time I have gone more than a month without updating or letting anyone know why I haven’t updated.

THIS WEBSITE ADDRESS IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

Until I get my life back together and figure out what to do with my online presence. Thanks.

Voluft (11/13/10)

Interesting fact: I spent about an hour and a half on this sketch. Generally I spend two to three hours a week on the the Weekly Robot.

Voluft is a warehouse robot that carries large palettes from one place to another.

Specs: Voluft maximum speed: 1 mph. Moves by electricity. The Voluft track is installed at the top and on the floor of the warehouse in pre-designed routes. Lights that line the track glow ahead of and behind the Voluft to warn of its approach. Shelves are arranged around the perimeters of the track. Ceiling beams must meet a minimum weight capacity. Palettes can be programmed remotely to send a 3-dimensional track coordinate signal to the Voluft’s prongs as they pick up the pallette.

Skull on a Doorstep

Skull on a doorstep: rendered in Maya with Raytrace Shadows.

I’ve been working with Maya for 7 weeks. The 2d door image is borrowed and I don’t claim ownership to it.
